In a higher education institution in Germany or within the European Union. There is equal importance placed on both material and non-material support
Scholarships, study cost and foreign residence allowances, etc. are established as a means to ensure financial stability.

Not eligible for funding are listed below:
- Part-time programmes.
- Second degrees.
- Distance learning degrees which are not accessed full-time.
- Project such as internships, language courses, travel cost allowance, etc.
- Posy graduate and complementary courses.
- Degree courses in final stages (minimum funding covers two semesters from the start of the sponsorship).
- Bachelor’s programme by international students who are non-European nationals.
